Mr. Pete Delantar, NLE President was one of the few resource speakers for the CEO Forum on it's second day of the convention. Once again NLE was recognised as an active and supporting company of the Council. Congratulations !

NLE Awardee for The ASEAN Business Awards 2017



Tagged as the biggest ASEAN Business Awards yet, the ASEAN Business Advisory Council unveiled its newest pool of 10th ABA winners with 68 award recipients composed of Asian business leaders, the most inspiring women, youth, and innovative entrepreneurs at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila.
More than 900 guests attended the ABA Gala Night and 400 delegates mainly from the ASEAN region, ASEAN economic ministers led by Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, entrepreneurs and most especially President Duterte, the ASEAN Business Awards was definitely a success!
Since 2007, the awards has hailed more than a hundred of entrepreneurs and their enterprises that have grown in value in their home countries and across the region. With the support of Philippine Council members George Barcelon and Tessie Coson-Sy, our chairmanship of the ASEAN@50 has also introduced a new addition to the set of categories, namely the Most Promising, Inclusive Business, and Legacy Awards.
From more than 200 applications that came from the 10 ASEAN countries, a total of 47 awardees and 68 finalists received a specially-crafted trophy from President Duterte. They were welcomed with the commemorative artwork signing of a mural reminiscent of Fernando Amorsolo’s style featuring ASEAN50 and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council.


Nine Legacy Awardees were given distinctions for their commitment to growth, genuine development, and excellence in their national economies which significantly contributes to the ASEAN Community. They are:
Haji Musa bin Hj Adnin is the managing director of Adinin Group of Companies, a major player in manufacturing, trading, IT services and trading, interior design, advertising, among others based in Brunei Darussalam.
Dr. Sudhamek AWS is the chairman of Garuda Food Group, Indonesia’s leading food and beverage company formally established in 1990 as PT Tudung Putra Jaya.
Rattana Prathoumvan is the current managing director and CEO of EDL Generation Public Company, an electricity generating business which provides operation and maintenance services to power generation assets in Lao PDR.
Goh Peng Ooi founded Silverlake Group in 1989, and since then has been established as a leading provider of state-of-the-art universal banking solutions.
Aung Ko Win founded the Kanbawza (KBZ) Group of Companies in 1994, one of the largest privately owned diversified group of companies in Myanmar.
John Gokongwei Jr. is the chairman emeritus of JG Summit Holdings, one of the largest and most diversified Filipino conglomerates established in 1957, focusing on a wide-range of ventures from agribusiness, the manufacture of feeds and prime food commodities, financial services, textile and property, power, telecommunications, among others.
Wee Cho Yaw is the chairman emeritus and adviser of United Overseas Bank, founded in Singapore in 1935. The UOB Group is one of the leading financial institutions with a network of more than 500 offices in 19 countries and territories.
Sakchai Unchittikul is behind Srichiengmai Industry, the first manufacturer of Tomato Products in Thailand.
Le Thu Tuy, with her immense vision, has led BRG Group, a multi-sector, diversified business group that includes real estates, finance, golf courses, hospitality, and commerce of which each company is one of the leaders in its sector.
Five companies in the CMLV+ earned the Most Promising Award for exhibiting a great potential in becoming business leaders in their developing nation. They are Wing Ltd. Specialised Bank of Cambodia, Phouvong Jewelry of Laos, Myanmar Combiz Co. of Myanmar, Nghia Nippers Corp. of Vietnam, and Printmarts Advertising of Brunei.
Imperial Homes, led by Emma Imperial, was specially recognized for providing low-cost and earth-friendly housing in the Philippines. Three major enterprises have also been duly recognized as the Friends of ASEAN for breaking barriers and making remarkable social and economic impact in the ASEAN. These are the Australia New Zealand Banking Group Ltd – Philippine Branch (Australia), Prudential Corp. Asia(Hong Kong), and Robert Bosch (SEA) PTE LTD (Germany).
The esteemed foreign ministers from the 10 ASEAN members-states were also given recognition for their remarkable work in strengthening foreign relations and integration in the region.
ASEAN BAC Philippines’ founding members, Jose Concepcion Jr., Rose Teodoro, Miguel Varela and Donald Dee were also recognized.
With a strong collaboration among the ASEAN member-states and the neighboring countries, the ABA Gala Night brought together groundbreaking ASEAN entrepreneurs whose success stories have become a true inspiration in sowing prosperity for all.

This is a Regional and National competition of best productivity practices of micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) nationwide organized by the National Wages and Productivity Commission of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE – NWPC) in coordination with all its Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPBs).

Below are the criteria which highlighted our Growth, Innovation, Employment, Sustainability and CSR practices. We received the highest points and will be competing for the National Productivity Olympics come October 2017.

As a long-standing supplier of Pottery Barn, Nature's Legacy showcases product lines and designs at the POTTERY BARN MINI SHOW held at Marriott Grand Ballroom, Pasay City, Philippines July 15th, 2017. Pottery Barn, wholly owned subsidiary of Willams-Sonoma, Inc. is a US-based upscale home furnishing store chain. It has retail stores in the US, Mexico, Australia, Puerto Rico and here in the Philippines.

Boodle Fight



In appreciation of the employees' hard work, dedication and commitment to the company, a Boodle Fight was prepared for them after the traditional First Friday Mass held at the Compostela main plant last July 7th.  It was a fun feast with a sumptuous dinner of food served on banana leaves and ice cream for dessert. Even the birthday celebrants for the month were surprised with individual cakes as all gathered to sing them the happy birthday song.  Everyone went home with big smiles on their faces on a very full stomach. They can't wait for next month's celebration with the vow to keep up the good work.

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry held a Grand Chamber Awards & Fellowship Night last June 30th at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu to culminate the Cebu Business Month 2017. it was a night where business leaders and stakeholders from different industries gathered to establish new relations.


As past awardees of the Grand Chamber Awards, Mr. Pete and Ms. Cathy Delantar were invited  to attend to in support of the organisation and "inspire other entrepreneurs whose passion and pride for their work surpassed only by their love for everything Cebu".

Summer Outing

Natures Legacy Eximport, Inc. staff had a summer outing on April 28-30, 2017 at the round-south of Cebu, Dumaguete and Negros.



It's the time of the year when employees and staff look forward to with all-heart excitement!  Summer is never complete without a team bonding away from work.  This year, the team decided to discover the wonders of  Dumaguete in Negors Oriental, Sumilon Island and the tourists spots of south of Cebu island (water falls, beaches, buntanding, etc.) Nature-tripping indeed for a company which advocates the preservation of the environment.

NLEI Observes 2017 Fire Prevention Month

No less than the Bureau of Fire Protection team of Compostela shared their time, knowledge and skills to re-cultivate NLEI employees on the prevention of fire disaster. This is to align with this year's BFP Theme: Buhay at Ari-arian at Pahalagahan, Ibayong Pag-iingat sa Sunog ay sa Sariling Pamayanan Simulan. The awareness seminar also included training on Basic First Aid.

Rice Incentive Program


Rice Incentive Awardees 
For the Month of February 2017



The Rice Incentive Program is given to associates (production employees) simply by hitting their assigned Quota, items passed Quality Standards, perfect Attendance and good Attitude, and for working Without Waste of Resources.  This incentive is awarded monthly and qualifications/criteria is reported weekly on its daily monitoring. Indeed, associates are working with an added purpose of  getting the incentive.

Philippines-made Eco-Sustainable Products

Philippines-made Eco-Sustainable
 Products Recognized by World’s leading Material Sourcing Consultancy Firm

Two Philippine made eco-sustainable products have been recently recognized by the world’s leading global consultancy firm, based in New York City, for material sourcing and design innovation.

Global consultancy firm, Material ConneXion, has listed Naturrescast and Nucast by Cebu based Nature’s Legacy and fashion arm, Floreia, as among the world’s most innovative and eco-sustainable materials through its flagship library in New York, and online databases in six other countries, namely,  South Korea, Japan, Italy, Spain, Thailand and Sweden.











In 2015, Nature’s Legacy also won the 2015 old Invention Award at the 43rd International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland for its sustainably and ethically produced Naturescast. Delantar, then, became the first and only Filipino to receive the prestigious award after besting over 800 top inventors and participants from all over the world. In the same year, Delantar’s company also represented the Philippines for the innovations Awards in the ASEAN business Award Competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.














Nature’s Legacy is one of the more active Philippine representatives in the country overseas fair participations and sourcing events organized by the center for International Trade Exhibitions and Missions (CITEM) of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry. And also in the recent Manila FAME October 2016 show, the company’s Nucast and Naturescast products for the home and fashion earned recommendation from international visitors for its sustainable production and value-adding material features such as durability, water and fire resistance , and absence of volatile organic compound (VOC).













“CITEM takes pride in the global achievements of Philippine MSMEs such as this recent one by Nature’s Legacy and Floreia,” CITEM Executive Director Rosvi C. GAetos said.

As a returning exhibitor in CITEM’s Manila FAME April 2017 edition, Nature’s Legacy will feature its latest collections using its many other patented and eco-friendly materials including NuCast and NaturesCast.

This Upcoming Manila FAME, buyers can expect to see not only our NuCast and NatureCAst products but other Fucnctional and eco-sustainable products as well made from MarmorCast which is from handmade polymer material, StoneCast and BraunCast, which is from Cebu’s natural crushed stone,” Delantar shared. “We are very careful in sourcing all our materials. As
much as possible, we maintain a low carbon footprint and uphold the company’s commitment to our environment and surrounding communities.”
