Nature's Legacy joins ONE CEBU EXPO 2010

NATURES LEGACY EXIMPORT, INC. JOINS ONE CEBU EXPO

Cebu Philippines - The Province of Cebu, in celebration of its 441st Founding Anniversary this month, highlights the “One Cebu Expo” from August 7-16, 2010 at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC), Mandaue City.

This year, Natures Legacy Eximport, Inc. joins the expo together with more than 300 exhibitors (including 12 from abroad) that showcase various furniture, handicrafts, delicacies, gift items, toys, house wares, attraction and other products from the towns and cities all over the province.

Now on its third year, improvements in the livelihood and the product development of the provinces are seen and towns have also significantly evolved into better set-ups.They have adopted a holistic approach incorporating the sights and sounds of their towns into their products. Not only that, the expo has paved the way for the export sector to market their products domestically. A significant market they didn’t realize they can penetrate.

On its opening day last Saturday, distinguished guests came like Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senator Bong Revilla, Jr., Senator Loren Legarda, Ilocos Congresswoman Imelda Marcos, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes and the head of delegation from the Republic of China Lin Xin Hao Yang.

Ilocos North Representative Imelda Marcos, the former first lady in a brief interview with reporters said she was impressed by the exposition and congratulated Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia and the creative workers who made the products on display. She went around the exhibit and shopped for bags and costume jewelry and even stopped at the Compostela booth where Naturescast products (of Natures Legacy Eximport, Inc.) were on display. “It is just awesome...with so much art and so much soul in it. I’m really awed and it’s showing what a beautiful soul the Cebuano has because it is only coming from one place here (pointing to the heart) and I congratulate the governor for mothering this and for giving them the venue to show what is within them,” said Marcos.

Other events in line with the One Cebu celebration are a mini Suroy-Suroy, a half-day tour organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT), a business summit to be conducted by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), and an English education summit that aims to promote Cebu as an English language hub.
