first prize winner in the National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE)

at the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) in Pasay City.

Mandaue, Cebu Inventor Pedro "Pete" H. Delantar's entry called "Molded Particle

Product with Cast Paper-Based Reinforcement" won the Outstanding 

Invention award, or what the department of science and technology (DOST)

decribed as "the most coveted" award in the Tuklas (Discovery) category.
